Cinderella in PPT – how to kill a good story.

You don’t have to use PowerPoint just because you master the program. Start instead by identifying what you want to say with your presentation. Then think about the best way to do this. It’s by no means certain that the answer will be: with a professionally produced PowerPoint slide show!

If you absolutely have to
− Do your presentation on paper before you open the PPT program.
− Keep the number of slides to a minimum.
− Don’t have more than five points on one slide.
− Choose an easy-to-read font and suitable text size.
− Check the spelling one more time.
− Use bullet points. The words must be a prompt for you and your audience. Not your script.
− Take the audience’s place for your own PPT and check at what distance the text is visible.
− Practise, practise, practise.
